Creators
Description
Springs are a lifeline for mountain communities. To conserve and enhance these springs, we require prior knowledge of their condition. This map has been prepared to depict the condition of water sources such as springs and ponds in the Nibuwa Tankhuwa watershed area located in the Dhankuta district. It is based on data collected in 2025, with the active participation of 20 community resource persons (representation from Brahmin/Chhetri/Thakuri/Sanyasi (30%), Janajati (55%), Dalit (10%), and Newar (5%) communities), from ten wards within the Nibuwa Tankhuwa watershed area, with guidance from two technical staff members from both Dhankuta Municipality and Chathar Jorpati Rural Municipality.
