Promotion of the Chyura Honey Value Chain in India; Sustainable Livelihoods in the Kailash Sacred Landscape

Six villages (Gogna, Khitoli, Bera, Sailguwani, Jamradi, and Nishni) in Pithoragarh District of Uttarakhand, India, with a strong tradition of beekeeping have been selected as pilot sites for the honey value chain. The high availability of chyura trees in these sites increases the scope for beekeeping and honey production.
