Karnali River Corridor Management Framework Nepal

The Karnali River is one of Nepal's greatest environmental assets and major source of cultural heritage. What might the future of the Karnali River basin look like? What can we do to preserve the mighty, beautiful and sacred Karnali River? How can we work to realize a more ecologically sustainable future, and who will act? This framework is prepared based on data collected during the Karnali River Scientific Expedition 2018 as well as during consultations and interviews with experts in the water sector held thereafter and feedback collected from the differently positioned stakeholders who participated in the 3rd National River Summit in March 2019.
