ITTO guidelines for the sustainable management of natural tropical forests

These guidelines contain an internationally recognised set of principles and possible actions designed to guide the implementation of sustainable forest management in the tropics. The report is divided into four main sections, each stating sets of basic principles followed by actions considered appropriate for these principles. The target group is forest managers and administrators in all three tropical regions where natural forest conditions and management procedures vary considerably, so actions are proposed in general terms.
