Enhancing Institutional and Individual Capacities

Capacity building is an integral aspect of the SERVIR Hindu Kush Himalaya (SERVIR-HKH) Initiative. Accordingly, the Initiative is working towards building the capacity of national institutions and professionals to use SERVIR-HKH products and services by integrating Earth observation (EO) and geospatial information technology (GIT) into their decision making. EO and GIT are viable solutions that help bridge data and knowledge gaps in the Hindu Kush Himalayan region, which is characterized by difficult terrain and considerable inaccessibility.
