Springshed management and governance roadmap (2025–2030)
Creators
Description
Developed in partnership with four municipalities and two rural municipalities in Kavrepalanchok, two municipalities in Dhankuta, and one municipality in Khotang, this roadmap aims to strengthen local government capacity for springshed management. The roadmap also aims to integrate Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI)-responsive springshed management into local policies, annual plans, and budgets and provide a model than can be adapted and scaled across Nepal’s hill and mountain municipalities
This work is published under ICIMOD’s Himalayan Resilience Enabling Action Programme (HI-REAP), funded by United Kingdom International Development through its flagship Climate Action for a Resilient Asia (CARA) initiative and Building Capabilities for Green, Climate-Resilient, and Inclusive Development (HI-GRID), funded by the Australian Government.
