Framework for Sustainable Biomass Energy Roadmap Development

Biomass energy connects directly with agriculture and forest residue management, making it central for the growth of a broader bioeconomy with suitable policy interventions. To tap the full potential of biomass energy, a country needs coherent policies, financial support mechanisms, technology adoption, and well-functioning markets. The framework for the sustainable biomass energy roadmap for Nepal is under development, led by the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation (MoEWRI), Government of Nepal.
