Participants' manual: Enhancing capacity on gender equality and social inclusion at ICIMOD

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) is committed to advancing Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI)  through its GESI Policy 2024, which provides strategic direction for systematic integration of GESI across all aspects of ICIMOD’s work while promoting organisational culture of respect for gender and diversity. Aligned with ICIMOD's Strategy 2030 and the Medium- Term Action Plan V (MTAP V), the policy promotes a GESI-responsive approach and aims to evolve into a more transformative approach with a stronger focus on the social inclusion of mountain communities. Guided by this commitment, this participant's manual on enhancing capacity on gender equality and social inclusion has been developed, tailored to the needs of various roles within ICIMOD. This manual is designed to build a shared understanding of key GESI concepts and equip participants with practical knowledge and tools for integrating GESI into their work.  It comprises seven training sessions incorporating presentations, discussions, and group work to ensure interactive learning and support the effective mainstreaming of GESI in institutional and programmatic contexts.
