Description
Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan is rich in natural resources, but it is going through a transformative change with increased pressure on socio ecological systems. Given the richness of natural resources and high vulnerabilities to climatic and non-climatic changes, growing organic food could be the best solution on both climate adaptation and mitigation fronts to save mountain ecology, improve nutrition security and health, and contribute to resilience of communities with enhanced livelihoods. The report provides detailed insights and best practices on how stakeholders can together make organic narrative /brand possible in Gilgit Baltistan.
