Observations and farmer experimentation with predatory ants

The article focuses on the farmers' experimentation with predatory ants. In Vietnam, the weaver ant is considered as a biological pest controller which protects crops. The benefits from weaver ants are:

• Protection of fruits from pests;
• Protecting annual crops from pests;
• Deters rats;
• Increases mango fruit set;
• Improves citrus fruit quality;
• Provides a means of weather forecasting;

Therefore, efforts on protecting biological pest control should be adopted and more efforts should be undertaken to document and spread ideas to others.
