Consultative workshop post-event report on opportunities for strengthening sediment monitoring in Nepal

As part of the collaboration between ICIMOD and NVE, a preliminary report entitled ‘Opportunities for strengthening sediment monitoring in large watercourses in Nepal’ was published in 2022. The report identifies opportunities for better coordination for sediment monitoring in large water courses in Nepal. To highlight the conclusions in the report and to help promote initiatives for further work on sediment monitoring in Nepal, ICIMOD, ICH and NVE organised a half-day workshop on 8 November 2022 at the ICIMOD headquarters in Kathmandu. The workshop brought together various stakeholders from government, industry and academia working on sediment monitoring in Nepal.
