An integrated modelling approach to address climate change mitigation in country Bhutan
Description
Bhutan’s economy is largely dependent on climate sensitive sectors like agriculture and hydropower, and remains highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change and extreme weather events. The domestic demand for food (rice, maize, vegetables) and energy (fossil fuels, electricity-during lean season) are supplemented through imports due to the challenges imposed by various factors including climate variability and investment capacity to implement appropriate adaptation technologies.
