Nepal's long-term strategy for net-zero emissions (LT-LEDS)

Nepal aspires to achieve a net-zero emission of greenhouse gases by 2045. Nepal aims to achieve that ambitious goal, the document notes, with an emphasis on maximization of clean energy (hydropower, solar energy, and biogas, among others); decarbonizing the transportation sector; encouraging sustainable agriculture; increasing and maintaining forest cover; and enhancing international cooperation on climate change mitigation and adaptation, among other things.
