In 2018, the KSLCDI conducted a ‘Cross-Border Sharing of Experiences on Biodiversity Management in Kailash Sacred Landscape – Nepal and India’ in Khalanga, Darchula district, Nepal. Participants of the event had agreed to continue the practice of exchange and dialogue set up between the communities of the two countries. On December 2019, KSLCDI organized a second cross-border forum under the title ‘Prakriti Ahwaan’ in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India. The main aim was to revisit the 2018 Community Agreement and reaffirm actions for sustainable biodiversity management including addressing illegal trade of flora and fauna.
