A technical manual for nettle fibre based entrepreneurship, with particular focus on women empowerment, has been prepared. This manual is easy to use, and includes low-cost techniques of nettle plant harvesting, fibre extraction, yarn and fabric making. The manual can help to promoting nettle fibre based enterprises across the KL-India and will directly support the local community to enhance their livelihoods. It will also act as a skill and capacity building material on nettle fibre based entrepreneurship in the KL and other parts of the Himalaya. I am sure, this document will interest multiple stakeholders, especially women, and unemployed and under-privileged youths for generating their livelihoods as well as the tourists interested on local culture and tradition.
