The Upper Indus Basin Network (UIB-N) was established in Pakistan in 2014. Through six Technical Working Groups (TWG), the Network has leveraged national and international expertise to generate and present sciencebased knowledge on various facets of the Upper Indus Basin. Following successful integration and outputs in Pakistan, the team deliberated on expanding the Network to span the Upper Indus Basin across Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and China. This was presented as a possible agenda item in the two-day UIB-Network Workshop for Enhancing Science-Based Regional Cooperation in Kathmandu on May 24-25, 2018.
