The Annual Report 2013 captures highlights from ICIMOD’s activities over the past year, including efforts to foster regional cooperation and increase the uptake of ICIMOD knowledge for greater impact on-the-ground and at the policy level. Along with updates on the continuing progress of activities within ICIMOD’s regional programmes on adaptation to change, transboundary landscapes, river basins, cryosphere and atmosphere, and mountain regional information system, the report includes scientific progress in its four core competency areas of ecosystem services, livelihoods, water and air, and livelihoods. The report also documents innovative efforts to increase engagement with media in the region and a mega-exhibition that has explored new avenues to share ICIMOD knowledge. The Centre’s audited financial report is also included in the report to ensure ICIMOD maintains transparency.
