An international year dedicated to mountains is a unique opportunity to consolidate and capitalise on the many efforts carried out to date to protect and develop mountain regions. It also provides us with an opportunity to renew and intensify our commitment to our work in mountain areas, to celebrate the mountains and the communities that ensure their sound stewardship.
