Resolution adopted by the General Assembly: Sustainable mountain development

The Resolution notes the progress made on sustainable mountain development. Encouragement is give to governments to adopt a long-term vision and holistic approaches in their sustainable development strategies, to promote integrated approaches to policies related to sustainable development in mountain regions and to integrate mountain sustainable development in national, regional and global policymaking and development strategies, including through incorporating mountain-specific requirements in sustainable development policies or through specific mountain policies.
