The 2023 edition of the WMO State of the Climate in Asia marks the fourth annual publication of climate reports dedicated to this region. It has been a collaborative effort involving National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs), WMO Regional Climate Centres (RCCs), numerous research institutions, as well as United Nations agencies and international and regional organizations. This report offers an overview of key climate indicators, presenting the most recent data and information on impacts, risks, and policy insights from United Nations agencies. It delves into specific areas such as physical science, socio-economic factors, and policy considerations relevant to Asia, addressing the needs of members in climate monitoring, climate change, and climate services.
