As of the end of 2023, renewables constituted 43% of the global installed power capacity. However, as we approach a future where renewable energy comprises half of the total capacity, numerous energy planning questions remain unanswered. Addressing issues such as grid flexibility and adapting to variable renewable power will be crucial in firmly establishing renewables as the primary source of electricity generation.
