Our Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) Initiative organised this workshop to explore how carbon finance can be mobilised to address deforestation and forest degradation in the Hindu Kush Himalayan region. Participants discussed carbon finance and its links with landscape management, explored how finance can be mobilised for sustainable landscape management, and identified opportunities from post-COP26 forest finance for HKH member countries. ICIMOD also introduced its Mountains of Opportunity Investment Framework and discussed its future in the context of climate finance and action in the HKH.
