Yartsa gunbu, commonly known as the “caterpillar fungus”, is a highly valued medicinal species and significantly contributes to the economy of the Kailash Sacred Landscape (KSL). The fungus is threatened by unsustainable practices such as unsustainable harvesting practices, unmanaged grazing, deforestation, and poor waste management in and around the collection sites. This poster is for raising awareness on sustainable harvesting and site management.
