Effective ecosystems management and building the resilience of local communities are amongst the main goals of our Kailash Sacred Landscape Conservation and Development Initiative (KSLCDI). The workshop, “Environmental management in a changing climate: Communicating local perspectives from the Kailash Sacred Landscape”, provided an opportunity for key stakeholders from the federal, state, and local levels of government, as well as civil society representatives and researchers, to come together to discuss how to make environmental management systems more sustainable in a changing climate. It also explored how knowledge of local challenges and management strategies could be communicated and made relevant across the different decision-making levels in Nepal.
