Unbalanced Sexual Structure Caused by Those Left in Home Villages and Those Leaving from Native Land

  • Li, X. Y.
Annotation :::: The paper draws upon development science and analyses the unbalanced gender structure related those who leave their home villages while others remain. It uses methods of documental study and field research to assess changes in the relationship between male and female after the outflow of the labour force. The findings indicate that the rural traditional gender structure has been disrupted, reshaped, and constructed in the process of the rural labour force going out for work. Women travel far from home as part of the outflow for work, which naturally alters their traditional role in the family. Women’s decision-making status in the family has improved as a result of their migration and the increase in income.
