The Federation of Community Forestry Users in Nepal was founded in 1995 as a national networking organisation and now involves over 3,000 user groups from more than 60 of Nepal's 75 districts. Its mission is to support self-reliance and increase independent decision-making capacity among forest user groups. It is funded through membership fees, remuneration for consultancy services, and partnerships.
