Summary

The author has already written about the reforms introduced by the Ain (Legal Code) of 1854 in the pre-Jang Bahadur civil and criminal cases and the impact of the Ain on the present Muluki Ain (Legal Code) of Nepal. This article analyses the organisation and structure of Nepali law courts during the third quarter of the nineteenth century.
