The research gives detailed answers to questions how the elements of social capital: civic engagement, trust, reciprocity, network structures, information flows and cultural practices enhance or inhibit adaptive capacity in Ramche and Simjung, as well as what role other factors that influence social capital, namely religion, education, demographics, marginalization, access to resources, development activities and effects of external actors, play in the formation of social capital as a determinant of adaptive capacity.
