The limitation of methods and strategies for integrating women's concerns, as well as the persistence of gender bias, has led to the exclusion fo women's perspectives from mainstream research, development policies and planning. The workshop programmatic concern were on the four thematic sessions of current issues in women and mountain development, Women and Mountain Farming Systems, Energy, Employment and women in the mountain areas; and Women, Environment and Mountain Development.
