The red soils region of south central China has been the focus of recent research as it represents large areas of upland cropping and animal enterprises. This proceedings documents the deliberations of 60 scientists with expertise in the areas of soil science, forage agronomy, climatology, animal husbandry, forestry, sociology and agricultural economics from 13 Chinese agencies, Australia and USA.
