A new Community Information Resource Centre (CIRC) in Myanmar is being developed as a platform to bring a range of stakeholders – the government, communities, and other partners – together to strengthen the link between biodiversity conservation and livelihoods. This participatory platform will raise awareness of the value of natural landscapes and the sustainable practices needed to minimize biodiversity loss and degradation. It will also help communities in remote parts of Myanmar contribute to the nation’s commitment to achieving the Aichi Biodiversity Targets set out by the Convention on Biological Diversity
