Description: Mount Kailash is a peak in the Kailash Range, which forms part of the Transhimalaya in Tibet. It lies near the source of some of the longest rivers in Asia: the Indus River, the Sutlej River, the Brahmaputra River, and the Karnali River. The Kailash Sacred Landscape Conservation and Development Initiative (KSLCDI) is a collaborative transboundary initiative that aims to promote conservation and development. It is implemented in China, India, and Nepal and facilitated by ICIMOD (funded by DFID-UKaid and BMZ-GIZ).
