However, in many parts of Nepal, watershed areas are being degraded, with significant negative impacts on local livelihoods. To help policy-makers act to improve watershed conservation, a new SANDEE study in collaboration with the Himalayan Climate Change Adaptation Program of ICIMOD has assessed the value of the services provided by the watershed that drains into the Koshi River Basin in central Nepal.
