Annotation:::: The paper focuses on mountain migrants’ adaptability to communities in a relatively-developed resettlement area. The paper uses the method of sociological study and empirical data to analyse the social adaptability of the mountain migrants coming from the Three Gorges area, and to identify the factors which affect how they adapt to the communities in a place of resettlement. According to the findings, more than half of the mountain migrants moving from the Three Gorges area have fundamentally adapted to life in the destination place.
