Annotation :::: Guizhou was listed as one of the key provinces supported by the central government in implementing a new round of poverty alleviation and development. Taking this opportunity and following the general requirements of “being capable of making the masses move out, lead a stable life, seek jobs and enjoy social security”, Guizhou Provincial Government decided to spend nine years, from 2012, in completing the eco-relocation of 350,000 households or 1.5 million rural poor people living in remote mountain areas, rocky areas, high and cold mountain areas and the areas of frequent occurrence of geological disasters.
