The purpose of this workshop was four-fold as follows - to make participants aware of GIS and RS technologies for data analysis; to brief the participants on how GIS could be used effectively for decision-making and modelling purposes; to advocate the use of GIS technology for planning purpose and implementation strategy; and to provide hands-on expereince and demonstration on applicability of GIS technology.
