On January 11, 2008, Sir Edmund Hilary died in New Zealand at the age of 88. A group of mountain bikers designed a riding trip as a tribute to him: Sir Edmund Hillary ride, 88+Km. It was a new route for the adventure influenced community, Kewkradong Bangladesh; from Feni to hill town Khagrachori. Leaving in the middle of the night, the team left Dhaka in their two four wheelers carrying eight riders and their bicycles.
