This publication was made possible through the EC-Asia Invest funded Marketing Assistance to Nepal for Sustainable Tourism Products (MAST-Nepal) project. The MAST-Nepal project was developed to build capacity within the Nepal tourism industry on the concepts of sustainable tourism, assist project companies in developing action plans to increase product sustainability, and link these products to the European sustainable tourism market. By strengthening sustainable tourism in Nepal the project aims to increase economic benefits to the poor and minimise the environmental and socio-cultural damages related to tourism activities.
