During the course of the decade that has gone by since the 1996 World Food Summit, the SDC has done its utmost in contributing to meet the objective fixed for 2015. This commitment has manifested itself in the support provided to a great number of both public and private partners, as well as initiatives and projects not only in the domain of agricultural production and research, but also that of natural resource management and rural development in regions where food security is precarious.
