Today, as women celebrate their being and their strengths, they also claim their human and indigenous rights and fundamental freedoms. In doing so, they demand their governments, the United Nations and other intergovernmental bodies, donor agencies, development organizations, the academe, their sisters and brothers worldwide to recognize, promote and work together towards the full realization of their rights and interests as indigenous women in the mountain regions.
